Detailed itinerary of the private day tour of Scotland.
Highlights: Glenkinchie Distillery Tour, Glengoyne Distillery Tour and Stirling Castle.
The unmistakable scent of this amber elixir beckons, and the sight of pristine distillery buildings set against the lush backdrop of verdant hills appeals to both the curious and the connoisseurs. This tour is an exciting exploration of Scotland's liquid gold.
This one-day Whisky Tour is a fusion of history and Scotland's liquid gold.
Our journey starts with a visit to Glenkinchie Distillery, a hidden gem not far from Edinburgh. Immerse yourself in the amber tales of whisky-making, enhanced by a quaint whisky museum where artifacts include a fascinating portable still once employed for clandestine whisky crafting.
Next, we'll set our sights on one of Scotland's most captivating castles – Stirling Castle. After exploring the castle, the whisky experience continues during lunch at one of Stirling's most charming pubs. Alternatively, instead of Stirling Castle, you have the option to visit Rosslyn Chapel, famous from "The Da Vinci Code" movie.
In the second half of the day, we'll journey to Glengoyne Distillery. Situated at the foot of a picturesque hill, it's the southernmost Highland distillery. Here, you'll have the chance to personally fill a whisky bottle, seal it, and affix a personalised label.
Usually, visits to two distilleries offer a comprehensive understanding of the whisky-making process. However, should your curiosity lead you to explore yet another distillery, we have Auchentoshan Distillery up our sleeve.
This is a unique tour that traverses the realms of history, culture, and whisky in a single day.
