Detailed itinerary of the private 3 day tour of Scotland.

Unforgettable Three Days with Visits to the Most Beautiful Places in Scotland - the stunning Isle of Skye, majestic Glen Coe, Loch Ness, and the picturesque Scottish Highlands.

Day One Highlights:  Stirling castle, Rannoch Moor, Glencoe, Fort William, Mallaig - ferry to the Isle of Skey.

Stirling Castle: Our tour starts off with a visit to the historic Stirling Castle, perched atop a basalt rock in the heart of Scotland's lone plain. Explore the rich history and captivating views that this castle offers as we embark on our journey.

Glencoe: Prepare to be captivated by the sheer beauty and drama of Glencoe, as we traverse the expansive Rannoch Moor, a landscape adorned with heather that exudes an unparalleled grandeur. You will also hear about the tragic history of this place, where the infamous Massacre of Glencoe occurred in 1692.

Fort William: Enjoy a delicious lunch in this charming town, nestled at the foot of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Britain.

Glenfinnan Viaduct: We'll make a stop at this impressive railway bridge, which spans 380 metres across a deep gorge. You might recognize it from the Harry Potter movies, as it was featured in several scenes where the Hogwarts Express passes by.

Isle of Skye Ferry: Hop on board a comfortable ferry and sail across the sea to the Isle of Skye, enjoying the spectacular views of the coastline and the islands along the way. You might even spot some wildlife, such as dolphins, seals, or whales.

In the evening, we'll arrive on the enchanting Isle of Skye, where we will be staying for two nights.

Day Two Highlights: Talisker Distillery, Portree, Lealt Falls, Quiraing, Dunvegan castle, Fairy Pools.

On the second day of our tour, we will explore this magical island and discover its many attractions and hidden gems. Depending on the weather and your preferences, we will visit SOME of the following places:

Dunvegan Castle: This is the oldest continuously inhabited castle in Scotland, dating back to the 13th century. It is the seat of the Clan MacLeod and houses many treasures and relics, such as the Fairy Flag and the Dunvegan Cup.

Talisker Distillery: This is the only whisky distillery on the island, producing a distinctive single malt with a smoky flavour. You can take a guided tour and sample some of their products.

The Isle of Skye is also a paradise for nature lovers and hikers, offering spectacular views and landscapes. Some of the most popular spots are:

Old Man of Storr: This is a striking rock formation that rises above the surrounding hills. It is one of the most iconic landmarks on the island and a favourite among photographers.

Kilt Rock: This is a cliff that resembles a kilt, with vertical basalt columns and horizontal layers of dolerite. A waterfall cascades from the top of the cliff into the sea below, creating a stunning spectacle.

Neist Point: This is the most westerly point on the island, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Outer Hebrides. There is also a lighthouse that was built in 1909 and still operates today.

The Quiraing: This is a stunning geological feature that was formed by a massive landslip. It consists of a series of pinnacles, cliffs, and plateaus that create a surreal landscape. You can walk along the edge of the escarpment and enjoy the amazing scenery.

The Fairy Pools: These are a series of crystal-clear pools and waterfalls that flow from the Cuillin Mountains. They are known for their turquoise colour and magical atmosphere. You can dip your toes in the water or even swim if you are feeling brave.

In the evening return to your hotel on the Isle of Skye.

Day Three Highlights: Eilean Donnan caslte, Loch Ness, Dalwhinnie Distillery, Blair Castle, Pitlochry.

Our journey will start with a scenic drive through a highland valley, where you will admire the stunning views of the Five Sisters of Kintail ridge.

Eilean Donan Castle: Our first stop will be at Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most photographed castles in Scotland. This is a 13th-century fortress that stands on a small island at the meeting point of three lochs. It was featured in the movie “Highlander” and has a fascinating history that spans centuries and clans.

Loch Ness: We will then continue to Loch Ness, the largest and deepest lake in Scotland. This is where the famous Loch Ness monster, or Nessie, is said to live. You will have the chance to take a short cruise on the lake and look for signs of the elusive creature. You will also learn about the legends and stories that surround this mysterious place.

Fort Augustus: For lunch, we will stop in Fort Augustus, a charming town that lies at the southern end of Loch Ness. Here you can enjoy some local delicacies and watch the boats pass through the locks of the Caledonian Canal, a remarkable engineering feat that connects the east and west coasts of Scotland.

After lunch, we will head south to Edinburgh, passing through the Grampian Mountains, a range of hills and mountains that cover much of Scotland. Along the way, we will visit two more attractions:

Dalwhinnie Distillery: This is one of the highest distilleries in Scotland, located at an altitude of 326 meters. It produces a smooth and mellow whisky that is influenced by the clean spring water and fresh mountain air. You can take a tour of the distillery and taste some of their products.

Blair Castle: This is a magnificent white castle that dates back to the 13th century. It is the home of the Dukes of Atholl and the headquarters of the Atholl Highlanders, the only private army in Europe. You can explore the castle and its gardens, and see some of the treasures and artefacts that reflect its rich history.

Pitlochry: Our final stop will be in Pitlochry, a picturesque village that lies on the banks of the River Tummel. Here you can stroll along the main street, and visit some of the shops and cafes.
